From First Idea to First Production: A STAGE GURU Student Story
One STAGE GURU participant began developing her own production while she was still taking the course.
Creating the work was already part of her professional responsibilities, and the objective was ambitious:
develop an original production that could eventually become part of a theater's repertory.
At the beginning, very little was defined.
The venue was known.
The dimensions of the stage were available.
The lighting concept had not yet been developed.
The number of performers was still uncertain.
The story, objectives, and dramatic structure all had to be created from the ground up.
As she moved through the course, she gradually developed the narrative, explored expressive devices, shaped the pacing, and built dramatic tension.
Production models and creative decisions were developed using practical structures introduced throughout the program.
The soundtrack was developed alongside the stage dramaturgy.
Music began to align with pauses, transitions, accents, changes in rhythm, and dramatic climaxes.
At the same time, she developed the production-management side of the project:

— a promotional strategy
— teaser content
— audience communication
— positioning of the production
